Chinese Enterprises Plan to Establish Mining Research Institution in Almaty to Boost Metallurgical Technology Upgrading

Source: Kazakh International News Agency — On the 7th, the "Almaty-Shanghai" Business Forum kicked off in Almaty, the "Southern Capital" of Kazakhstan.

According to the Almaty City Government Press Office, during the event, Beijing Fuxing Yihua Technology Co. Ltd. presented its latest investment project proposal. Under this initiative, the company plans to establish a specialized research institution in Almaty focusing on the mining sector.

The research institution will concentrate on mineral raw material composition analysis, design of ore beneficiation experiments, and development of metallurgical process flows. A representative from Beijing Fuxing Yihua emphasized at the forum that Kazakhstan holds significant potential for growth in mining. However, according to their observation, there remains insufficient technological assessment and technical support in certain professional areas within Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan is one of the rapidly developing resource-rich nations in the mining industry. Currently, there is substantial demand in fields such as mineral raw material analysis, ore beneficiation testing, and metallurgical process R&D. We highly value the vast opportunities this market presents," stated the company representative.

It is reported that the purpose of this "Almaty-Shanghai" Business Forum is to strengthen economic, trade, and investment ties between the two major cities. The Mayor of Shanghai led a delegation attending this forum. As a result of the forum's outcomes, both sides signed a series of strategic memoranda and agreements, planning jointly implemented joint investment projects totaling over USD 2.7 billion.
