Unable to defeat Iran, Israel has once again turned its firepower against Lebanon.

According to the latest statistics, since the outbreak of the new round of Lebanon-Israel conflict, the number of Lebanese people killed in Israeli attacks has reached 634, with over a thousand more injured.

Israeli attack on Lebanon

On February 28, the US and Israel launched a "史诗怒火" (epic fury) military operation against Iran, and the war quickly spread to Lebanon. On March 2, the Israeli military began large-scale attacks on Lebanon and deployed ground forces to the Lebanon-Israel border area.

In the corners that no one pays attention to, the people in southern Lebanon have to endure Israeli artillery fire every day. As before, only Hezbollah in Lebanon stands up, coordinating with Iran while defending Lebanon, facing very difficult situations.

As the US-Israeli operations against Iran hit a stalemate, the Israeli military increased its offensive against Lebanon, determined to regain their face lost in Iran.

An Israeli official threatened that if the Lebanese government does not join them in confronting Hezbollah, they will turn Beirut into the next Gaza.

Israeli ground forces dispatched to Lebanon

On this point, Israel always keeps its promises. On Wednesday local time, the Israeli military attacked a building in the center of Beirut. This is not a Hezbollah stronghold, but a densely populated residential building.

From a global perspective, attacking civilian buildings benefits nothing in changing the situation. Whether it's the US bombing Iranian schools or the Israeli air strikes on Lebanese homes, it only kills more civilians and cannot help them gain a strategic advantage.

It's hard not to think that the US and Israel are venting their anger on Iran and its allies. They can't win, can't stop, so they take their anger out on innocent civilians.

Therefore, when the US and Gulf countries were busy condemning Iran at the Security Council, the Chinese representative spoke a different voice.

Chinese representative condemns Israel

Ambassador Fu Cong stated that all parties should not ignore the tense situation in Lebanon. The Lebanon-Israel conflict must stop immediately to avoid more innocent casualties. No matter where or when, war should not cross the line of protecting civilians. Israel's indiscriminate attacks on Lebanese civilians are war crimes that violate international law.

Meanwhile, four Iranian embassy staff were killed. Diplomats and civilians should be protected equally. China condemns any attacks on non-military personnel. According to international law, Israel should immediately withdraw from Lebanon, and the international community should firmly support and protect Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ambassador Fu Cong also condemned the attack on the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Soon after the outbreak of the new Lebanon-Israel conflict, UNIFIL personnel carrying out peacekeeping missions in Lebanon were attacked again, resulting in three injuries.

On the same day, 30 countries issued a statement on the situation in Lebanon, calling on all parties to abide by Security Council resolutions, cease hostilities immediately, and condemn the attacks on UNIFIL.

Netanyahu hasn't been seen for a long time

This statement was led by France. As a former colonial power of Lebanon, France always makes symbolic statements whenever a Lebanon-Israel conflict breaks out, but it stops at verbal condemnation without taking real actions to stop the conflict. In fact, France even supplies weapons and ammunition to Israel.

Up to now, only three European countries have imposed a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel: Spain, Slovenia, and Belgium. Among them, Spain has the strongest and most thorough sanctions. Recently, Spain also dismissed its ambassador to Israel, lowered the diplomatic level between the two countries to acting chargé d'affaires, and is just one step away from breaking off diplomatic relations.

If Europe had more Spains and fewer Fraces, Israel would not be so audacious.
