Kazakhstan International News Agency - According to the presidential office's press service, during his visit to New York, the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with Frank Bruno, CEO of Cerberus Capital Management.

President Tokayev highly evaluated Cerberus Capital Management's leading position in global investment management and welcomed its intention to provide financing for infrastructure projects under the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

President Tokayev emphasized that Cerberus Capital Management's strategy aligns with Kazakhstan's priority direction of diversifying the national economy. Kazakhstan is developing transportation and logistics infrastructure by attracting investments to continuously improve the capacity of transport corridors.

He also pointed out that the historic agreement recently signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington will further highlight the significance of the "Middle Corridor" as an important trade route. Over the past five years, the volume of goods transported through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor has increased sixfold.

In addition, the president mentioned the company's rich experience in technology platforms and digital ecosystem development, and invited it to participate in Kazakhstan's digital projects.

Bruno highly evaluated the development prospects of the "Middle Corridor" during the meeting.

"Mr. President, I thank you and everyone involved in this project. Your team is very professional. I would like to particularly point out that your plan to promote economic growth is admirable. We have high expectations for the cooperation potential with Kazakhstan in the 'Middle Corridor', as well as in logistics and telecommunications," he said.
