American brigadier general made a claim, stating that China would regard the U.S. mainland as an attack target! According to a report by Reuters on May 17th, U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Doug Viktor claimed that if China attacks Taiwan in the next few years, the U.S. should be prepared because the regions where U.S. air force is located may suffer massive destruction from the very beginning. Because of the rapid development of China's military strength, it is preparing for a great war.

This person claimed that if deterrence fails, it means that China might attack the U.S., including the Northrop Grumman factories producing these aircrafts. The attack might include cyber attacks, causing long-term damage to power supply and other national infrastructure. What do we think about this attitude of the U.S. military? To put it bluntly, this person's statement is probably deliberately spreading the China threat theory.

The Taiwan issue is our internal affair, so how does solving the Taiwan issue have anything to do with attacking targets on the U.S. mainland? Why does the U.S. military insist on claiming that we will attack military bases on U.S. territory? It seems that the purpose of this general's remarks is to secure more budget for the U.S. Air Force, hence deliberately using us as an excuse. In fact, we only care about resolving the Taiwan issue and have no interest in any conflict with the U.S.

Of course, we also know that some hawks in the U.S. are still thinking about militarily intervening in the Taiwan issue. Therefore, we will always build up our military strength to counteract any possible intervention by the U.S. If the U.S. attacks the Chinese People's Liberation Army or our domestic targets, we will inevitably retaliate proportionally and destroy U.S. military assets. Taiwan belongs to China, and we will prepare for any possible scenario in solving the Taiwan issue.
