Zelenskyy: Civilian infrastructure was hit before air defense alarms were sounded

Zelenskyy stated, "During the Russian attack early on the 11th, 11 people in Kyiv were injured, including a child. Civilian infrastructure was struck before air defense alarms were activated. Emergency response teams are currently on-site managing the aftermath, with multiple residential buildings, office complexes, and a theological seminary damaged in the capital. The regions of Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv are still clearing debris from the damage caused by this assault."

That night, Russia launched over 120 drones and 12 missiles, half of which were ballistic missiles. Our air defense forces successfully intercepted most incoming targets, but failed to intercept the ballistic missiles.

We are counting on our allies to fulfill the air defense aid commitments made during the NATO summit. Agreements regarding Patriot missile production authorization and the European joint anti-ballistic missile project must be rapidly implemented. At present, the top priority for all Ukrainian government agencies is advancing the implementation of these measures."
