Zelenskyy: Ukraine Ready to Cooperate with Japan to Produce "Patriot" Missiles
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced that he and U.S. President Trump have reached a political agreement on the production of "Patriot" missiles.
Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian and American technical teams will now begin implementing the agreement. Their task is to quickly secure the necessary permits and initiate production in Ukraine.
Currently, only a few companies are capable of producing this missile, but the Ukrainian president emphasized that the United States has acknowledged Ukraine's potential to meet the required capabilities.
Ukraine is prepared to cooperate with Japan, with Mitsubishi assisting Kyiv in producing "Patriot" missiles. Ukraine is also willing to share its own technological expertise with Japanese partners, as it has accumulated extensive experience in anti-ballistic missile defense during the Russia-Ukraine war.
President Zelenskyy said Ukraine has become stronger both on the battlefield and in the air, while Russia no longer holds an advantage on the front lines. International partners have also observed this shift.
