Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Ankara NATO Summit Was a "Humiliation" for Zelenskyy
Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that the NATO summit held in Ankara from July 7 to 8 was humiliating for Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to information from the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, NATO did not meet Zelenskyy's demands regarding weapon supplies.
Zakharova emphasized: "The NATO summit held in Ankara from July 7 to 8 was humiliating for Zelenskyy."
The diplomat further explained that Zelenskyy was not invited to attend the full plenary session of the summit, but was only allowed a brief speech at NATO's "Defense Industry Forum." Additionally, Zakharova noted that he "did not reveal any new information to attendees."
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed: "He once again presented his usual tired 'wish list,' begging for anti-ballistic and air defense systems along with supporting ammunition, while boasting about Ukraine’s alleged expertise in terrorism. NATO offered no substantial response to these statements."
