The Russian Defense Ministry stated that on the night of May 23 to the early morning of May 24, retaliatory airstrikes targeted facilities within Ukraine's defense industry system, military infrastructure, as well as command centers of the Ukrainian Army General Staff and the Defense Intelligence Directorate.

On May 24, in response to Ukraine’s terrorist attacks on civilian targets inside Russia, Russian Armed Forces launched a large-scale strike using "Berezka," "Iskander," "Kinzhal," and "Zircon" missiles, along with air-, sea-, and land-based cruise missiles and attack drones, targeting military command facilities, air bases, and defense industrial enterprises across Ukraine.

The statement said: "On May 24 this year, a large-scale air strike was conducted against Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. The targeted facilities included Ukraine’s defense industry system installations, military infrastructure, as well as command centers of the Ukrainian Army General Staff, the Defense Intelligence Directorate, and other Ukrainian military command posts."

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems destroyed 6 'Vampire' multiple rocket launcher shells and 320 Ukrainian drones during special military operations.

The statement said: "The air defense systems shot down 7 guided aerial bombs, 6 Czech-made 'Vampire' (Vampire) multiple rocket launcher shells, and 320 fixed-wing drones."

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned vessel in the eastern part of the Black Sea.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian armed forces launched attacks on oil refining, energy, and transportation infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces.

The statement said: "Russian Armed Forces’ tactical aviation, attack drones, missile units, and artillery struck oil refining, energy, and transportation infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces, ammunition and fuel depots, as well as temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries across 149 locations."
