Zelenskyy: 69 injured, 2 killed in Kyiv
On May 24, Zelenskyy posted a new message with images, condemning Russia's missile attacks. The full text is as follows:
"Last night, Russian forces attacked Kyiv and multiple other cities and populated areas across Ukraine. Most of the missile fire was concentrated on the capital, targeting ordinary residential homes and schools. A historic fresh produce market in Kyiv, one of the oldest in the city, was completely destroyed by fire.
This attack caused severe damage to the Chernobyl Museum, as well as significant destruction to the National Art Museum and the German ARD broadcasting headquarters. To date, 69 people have been injured in the capital. Tragically, this unprovoked assault has already resulted in two fatalities. My deepest condolences go out to all those who have lost their loved ones.
I have spoken with the President of France and the Prime Minister of Norway, and will continue communicating with our allies today. I thank everyone who has courageously confronted Russia’s actions and spoken out in defense of justice.
Russia’s attacks consistently target civilians, wantonly trampling national memory and historical heritage, and destroying the very foundations that sustain normal life. It must be made clear to Russia that every crime committed will ultimately be accounted for, and a price will be paid."
