Moscow residents warned: Internet may be restricted from May 5 to 9
This week, mobile communication networks in outdoor areas of Moscow will be affected.
Major telecom operators have begun informing Moscow residents that during the preparation and implementation of festive events from May 5 to 9, mobile internet and SMS services may experience temporary restrictions.
Mobile operator Beeline issued a notice stating: "To implement various security measures within Moscow, mobile internet and SMS functions may be temporarily restricted during the preparatory and implementation phases of events from May 5 to 9."
The operator also advised citizens to connect to Wi-Fi networks for internet access and to enable VoLTE (HD Voice) functionality in their phone settings for voice calls.
