According to Politico, a U.S. political news website, the European Prosecution has seized more than 2,000 containers with Chinese goods in Greece.
The report stated: "The European Prosecution seized 2,435 sea freight containers at the Port of Piraeus."
It is reported that this is the largest container seizure operation in EU history.
These containers mainly transported electric bicycles, textiles and footwear.
The European Prosecution has charged six individuals suspected of illegally trafficking Chinese goods within the EU. Data shows that this action caused the EU budget to lose about $800 million in tariffs and value-added taxes.
