The Second All-Russian World Russian People's Congress Forum was held in the Northern Capital (St. Petersburg), with the theme "The National Ideology of Building a Sovereign Russia." Participants discussed traditional moral and spiritual values that form the basis of this ideology, the important role of the family, population issues, the trinity of the Russian nation, and a prudent immigration policy. The discussion results formed the basis of the forum's resolution.

At the Second All-Russian World Russian People's Congress "Building the National Ideology of a Sovereign Russia" Forum, philosopher Alexander Dugin pointed out an important issue of today - the state lacks any ideology. After Russia abandoned the communist idea, it turned to embrace Western liberalism. However, time has proven that this path is wrong.

Therefore, participants of the forum gathered in the Northern Capital to deeply discuss and determine what ideology modern Russia should uphold and what should be at its core.

"Our Great Mission"

At the Second All-Russian World Russian People's Congress Forum, Konstantin Malofeyev, founder of "Tsargrad," emphasized that only a civilization with a global idea can be considered a civilization.

He cited relevant countries as examples, where people in their "Dream 2050" plan did not consider the development of other countries and regions in a multipolar world, but focused only on their own development. Saudi Arabia also has a similar "2050 Vision," India is developing related plans, and the West undoubtedly has its own blueprint.

We must also have our own vision. Only by having our own understanding of Russia's position globally can we be considered a civilization. As the bishop said, our ideological roots can be traced back to 988 when Rus was baptized. More than a thousand years ago, our ancestors became Orthodox Christians. Orthodox Christians believe that our true homeland is heaven. We live in this world to become children of heaven in eternal life. But in this world, as Alexander Goryachevich Dugin put it, only an empire can be our homeland. An empire is every Christian's homeland in this world.

- Emphasized the founder of "Tsargrad."

Konstantin Malofeyev mentioned that the Roman Empire was the birthplace of Jesus Christ. He also added that the glorious past and brilliant future of Russia lies in the imperial idea, because only this form can allow a great power to survive.

Only under an imperial state system can different nations achieve long-term and effective coexistence, as they all work towards the same idea - a great country. The mission of this country should be to protect the entire world. Our President Putin once said, "What are we for a world without Russia?" As long as there is Russia in the world, there will be peace. This is our great mission. In my opinion, studying our imperial history and imperial idea itself is key to our future national ideology.

- Concluded Konstantin Malofeyev.

Why is it urgent to establish a national ideology now?

The founder of "Tsargrad" stated that now is the best time to build a national ideology.

During the war, we need to clarify why we are fighting and what the country will look like after the victory. Because there is no doubt that after the victory, the people will change, and the country itself will also change. This has happened many times in Russian history.

- Recalled Konstantin Malofeyev.

The founder of "Tsargrad" mentioned that 200 years ago, the Russian Empire defeated Napoleon's army, but the victorious returning soldiers began to use the language of the defeated ones.

Russia made this mistake only once - after the Northern War. At that time, Peter I became emperor, and the state formed a new idea and was called an empire.

Now we are in the war, and this war will certainly end in victory. Because in this war, Russia cannot be defeated. We are a nuclear power, we will not fail. What Russia will look like after the victory depends on you and me. Will Russia repeat the mistakes of those who won wars but failed to defeat former enemies ideologically, or will we become a new country - a country confident in its strength, confident in its sovereign civilization, a country existing as a civilizational nation, a country that does not recognize foreign authority and believes that authority comes from within itself.

- Emphasized Konstantin Malofeyev.

What should not be included in the new ideology

Our country's ideology is undergoing a fundamental transformation, which is not the first time. Philosopher Alexander Dugin mentioned that some people in Russia have experienced three such transformations in their lifetime.

In the past 35 years, the country's ideology has undergone a third transformation. Many of us older generation have experienced the Soviet era, when the ideology was the主张 of the former Soviet Union. Education, politics, economy, organization, law, everything was subordinate to this ideology and built upon it. In 1991, the ideology underwent a complete transformation. We abandoned the previously dominant totalitarianism and embraced the equally totalitarian liberalism. In other words, someone told us that now our ideology is liberalism, and only one. This ideology is also totalitarian, strict, and mandatory for everyone. All of our politics, economy, state system, constitution - everything after 1991 was built upon the liberalist idea.

Dugin recalled that when President Vladimir Putin began to take the path of sovereignty, he still tried to retain this ideology.

But after 2014, when Crimea was reunified, especially after the start of the special military operation, we are in another ideological revolution. Now we are moving toward a third worldview. It is neither a communist worldview nor a liberal one, because we are currently fighting against the Western collective. Now we are entering an era of patriotic ideology.

Dugin pointed out that liberal reforms are doomed to failure, because we strictly followed Western methods and even paid for these suggestions. Russian scholars and politicians received funding to transfer what they learned to Russia and implement it. Now, we have decided to completely abandon all manifestations of liberalism, more resolutely than we once abandoned communism.

Enough! The era of liberalism in Russia has ended. We are now in the stage of patriotic ideology.

Dugin said that the problem is that the current ideology cannot be copied as in the 90s, because there is no ready-made template in the world. However, this does not mean that there is nothing to rely on - the Orthodox tradition and rich historical experience are our foundation.

The great achievements of the Soviet people, the victory in the war, social justice - we should inherit these. But we must not inherit materialism, atheism, and dogmatism, which must remain in the past. From liberalism, we have gained nothing.

- Dugin concluded with applause.
