Moscow Metro Scandal Exposed: Influencers Harassing Women Arrested, Sentenced to 15 Days in Detention

According to reports from "Komsomolskaya Pravda" and "Rossiyskaya Gazeta," Moscow police have detained a group of influencers who harassed women on the metro. These individuals attempted to initiate conversations with women; upon rejection, they forcibly touched various parts of the victims' bodies.

The reports indicate that multiple similar incidents have occurred within the Moscow Metro system, with the most recent taking place at the Taganka Station. Two offenders were arrested following a complaint by a woman. Subsequently, the court determined that their actions constituted minor hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Russian Federation Administrative Offenses Code) and sentenced each to 15 days of detention.

When asked by RBK, Moscow police stated that the Moscow Department of Internal Affairs has not received any such reports.

According to "Komsomolskaya Pravda," these influencers not only targeted women specifically but also filmed the harassment and uploaded the videos to private channels. "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" also mentioned that other passengers using similar tactics had previously been detained on the metro.

In August 2024, the Moscow Investigative Directorate initiated a preliminary investigation into a taxi driver who harassed a female passenger and recorded the incident.
