Russian State News Agency Ashgabat March 21 - According to the official newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", under the framework of the Galkynysh gas field development in Turkmenistan, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) will produce 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
The report stated that the relevant contract will be signed between the state-owned enterprise Turkmen Gas Company and the China National Petroleum Amu Darya Petroleum and Gas Company (a subsidiary of CNPC).
The Galkynysh field in Turkmenistan has been in operation since 2013. It covers an area of more than 5,000 square kilometers, with estimated reserves of 27.4 trillion cubic meters of natural gas. The deposit is planned to be developed in seven industrial stages.
