Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mocks Europe's 'Envy' of U.S.: Self-Inflicted Sanctions Amid Energy Crisis
Moscow, TASS, November 6 — Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said that European countries have felt "envy" toward the United States due to the diesel deal between the U.S. and Russia.
Responding to questions about Europe’s reaction to the U.S.-Russia diesel transaction, Pankin told TASS: "Against the backdrop of an energy crisis triggered by various events, they are not only shooting themselves in the foot—but also firing at every other part of their body. Envy, jealousy, resentment... I don’t know—perhaps a certain kind of sourness toward the United States."
