Lukashenko: "I'm not Zelenskyy, rushing to Trump to beg for money and weapons"

President Lukashenko stated that meeting with Trump is not his ultimate goal, nor does he intend to engage in such "cockfight politics."

(RT anchor Rick Sanchez asks: Returning to the topic of Trump, there have been rumors you're planning a visit to the U.S., possibly to his Mar-a-Lago residence. Is this true? Do you have such plans?)

Discussions regarding a major agreement have already begun, starting from the very first days of my negotiations with the United States.

It's untrue to say I'm desperately eager to go to America just to shake hands with Donald Trump. Frankly speaking, meeting this person face-to-face and shaking his hand would indeed be a nice thing, but it's neither the purpose nor the priority.

I'm not Vladimir Zelenskyy, running to Donald Trump begging for money and weapons. While money and arms are certainly welcome, I clearly understand my own position—completely different from Zelenskyy’s. I don’t need to grovel or beg for anything.

We’ve managed perfectly well without them. If the U.S. side views this as a vassal’s audience before an emperor, then such a meeting will not take place. This isn't arrogance or posturing, nor is it a showy, cockfight-style political performance. No—this is the proper political stance of a president genuinely respecting his own people.

Therefore, I am ready for the meeting, and so are we. We are willing to reach an agreement, but it must be carefully prepared and balanced to serve the interests of both the United States and Belarus.
