Russian State News Agency, Moscow, October 5 - Kirill Dmitriev, President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Special Representative of the President of Russia for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, congratulated Andrej Babiš, leader of the Czech opposition party ANO Movement, on the party's victory in the Czech parliamentary elections, and stated that Europe is "awakening."

Dmitriev wrote on his account on the social platform X: "Congratulations to Andrej Babiš, the Czech people, and the 'European Patriots' group (a political group in the European Parliament)! Europe is awakening - ending uncontrolled immigration, war incitement, censorship, and economic decline! Right-wing forces are winning across Europe."

In the Czech parliamentary elections that ended on October 4, Babiš's created and led ANO Movement won with a clear advantage, receiving 34.57% of the votes in 99.94% of the districts counted. According to media estimates, the ANO Movement will secure 81 seats out of 200 parliamentary seats.
