[Ukraine: Hundred People Attacked the Recruitment Center Vehicle]
On May 29th, about 100 local residents attacked a mobile recruitment publicity vehicle of the recruitment center in Kamianets-Podilskyi city, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. The vehicle's tires were punctured, and the above actions have constituted "organized obstruction of military personnel from performing their duties." Law enforcement agencies and military gendarmes have arrived at the scene to conduct preliminary investigations, confirm the identities of the offenders, and document all violations.
The recruitment center of Khmelnytskyi Oblast pointed out that according to Article 114-1 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, such behaviors may be classified as "treason" or other serious crimes endangering national security during wartime. Additionally, they may involve criminal liability under Articles 342, 345, and 346 (resisting law enforcement officers, hooliganism, damaging property, etc.). Relevant departments urge citizens to immediately cease any illegal activities, comply with current laws, and maintain social order.
Recent incidents of attacks on the recruitment system have been frequent:
-- Kharkiv Oblast: On the 29th, a staff member of a regional recruitment center discovered an unknown object near the vehicle; an explosion occurred when approaching it, leaving the person severely injured in the hand and requiring amputation surgery.
-- Cherkasy City: On Monday, the 26th, a group of people assaulted recruitment center staff while checking registration data; several participants have been arrested by the police and charged with hooliganism.
