Russian Academy of Sciences: Developing a Lunar Research Plan by 2060
TASS, Moscow, February 6 - During an interview with TASS, the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennadiy Krasnikov, stated that a lunar research plan for before 2060 is being developed.
Krasnikov said: "The Russian Academy of Sciences has formulated a large-scale scientific space program, including the study of the universe, microwave background radiation, star formation, black holes and neutron stars. The 'Spectr-UF' space telescope and the 'Spectr-M' space telescope (Millimeter Wave Observatory project). We have developed a plan for world-class large projects."
He pointed out that the plan also includes planetary research.
He added: "Although our plan focuses largely on Venus, we are also implementing a lunar plan. The current lunar plan ends in 2036, while a lunar research plan before 2060 is being developed at the same time."
