Cuban State Chairman: Relations with BRICS, Russia and China are opening up a future for the Global South
Russian State News Agency, Mexico City, February 6 - Cuban State Chairman Miguel Díaz-Canel stated on February 5 that relations with BRICS, Russia and China are offering alternative development prospects for countries of the Global South.
Díaz-Canel said: "We should pursue clear and unified actions, as well as economic and trade cooperation actions that support multilateralism. I believe that there are some groups that are demonstrating leadership in this regard, such as BRICS, which offer different development prospects to the Global South. The relationships between major countries such as China and Russia and the countries of the South themselves are unique."
According to him, a large-scale information and psychological warfare is being carried out against Cuba, aiming to undermine domestic unity and create feelings of distrust and uncertainty in society.
Díaz-Canel emphasized that countries and peoples of the Global South must be aware of the current risks they face, as well as the prospects and future before them.
