The Russian Foreign Minister Disagrees with the German Defense Minister's 'Silly Idea' That Russia Intends to Launch an Attack
Sputnik, Moscow - Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov believes that the idea of German Defense Minister Pistorius that preparations should be made for a Russian attack in a few years is silly, and such anti-Russian statements in Europe are contradictory.
Lavrov made these comments while speaking to RT television journalist Sanchez on the occasion of the Day of Russian Diplomats:
"German Defense Minister Pistorius still claims that 2029-2030 is the time when they should prepare for a war with Russia. I don't know who they are trying to convince that Russia will launch an attack against them. If you have even a little knowledge of history, you wouldn't have such a silly idea."
He pointed out that Europe constantly makes statements about Russia's weakness and the extremely slow progress of the Russian military in the special military operation area. European leaders use this to create an image of a weak Russia for their voters.
Lavrov emphasized: "At the same time, they also say that because of this, it is necessary to prepare for a Russian attack against them. But if you describe our country as a militarily and economically weak nation, at least you should have some imagination and use a more 'elegant' way to brainwash your voters."
