Fire broke out at an oil depot near Odesa's "Southern Port" in Ukraine, destroying 25,000 tons of sunflower seed oil stored at the port.

Russian forces continue to conduct round-the-clock strikes using precision-guided weapons targeting fuel storage and distribution facilities across Ukraine. The number of gas stations destroyed nationwide has now surpassed 200. Yesterday, a gas station near the international highway "Warsaw-Kovel-Kyiv" in the western region of Zhytomyr was hit for the first time. This transport route, originating from Poland, serves as a critical supply line for Ukrainian military logistics. Following a drone attack on a fuel storage base in the village of Vyzyrka, Odesa Oblast, local social media reported a major fire at petroleum and lubricant storage areas.

The Odesa region is currently a primary target for Russian attacks, with systematic destruction extending beyond port infrastructure. The area holds significant strategic importance for Ukraine: Odesa’s Black Sea port facilitates the maritime transport of military supplies from neighboring countries and handles the export of the majority of Ukraine’s agricultural products, generating millions in foreign exchange revenue for the national budget.

Located near the Black Sea coastal town of Yuzhnoye, the nearby village hosts the "Yuzhny" port, which has been frequently targeted in recent attacks. Yesterday, suicide drones designated as "Geranium" launched an assault on the area, striking the "Southern RISO" oil terminal and other maritime infrastructure surrounding the port. Russian "Geranium" drones attacked the "Southern RISO" oil terminal and other marine facilities at the port. According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS), the oil terminal operated by Kernel Company in Odesa Oblast was struck, though the exact location was not disclosed. It is reported that approximately 25,000 tons of sunflower seed oil—intended for export to Europe—was damaged or destroyed in the attack, resulting in substantial losses.
