Heavyweight Players in the World Oil Market: Kazakhstan's Oil Production Reached 49.9 Million Tons in the First Half of 2025, an 11.6% Increase Year-on-Year

Kazakhstan International News Agency - At a government meeting, Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhaynov stated that from January to June 2025, Kazakhstan's oil production reached 49.9 million tons, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year, significantly higher than 44.7 million tons in the same period in 2024.

According to the minister, it is expected that by the end of 2025, the total oil production across the country will reach 96.2 million tons, an increase of 850,000 tons compared to 87.7 million tons in 2024, representing a 9.7% growth year-on-year.

Petroleum exports also saw significant growth. In the first half of the year, Kazakhstan exported 39.6 million tons of oil, an increase of 11.9% year-on-year, higher than 35.4 million tons in the same period in 2024.

It is expected that the annual export volume will reach 70.5 million tons, an increase of 2% compared to 68.6 million tons in 2024.
