Russian Delegation: NATO Countries Are Developing Plans for a Large-Scale War Against Russia

Yulia Zhidanova, head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna negotiations on military security and arms control, stated that NATO member states are developing plans for a large-scale war against Russia.

Zhidanova pointed out at the 98th joint plenary session of the Security Cooperation Forum and the OSCE Permanent Council on Wednesday: "We remember that most wars have come from the West to our land, and now we see that the capitals of NATO member states are plotting plans for a large-scale war against Russia."

This diplomat reminded that Russia has never started a war, but has ended wars, sometimes at great sacrifice, liberating much of Europe from bondage.

Zhidanova concluded: "We have always believed that in this region, which has suffered so much, there are no insurmountable contradictions. However, the reality is that the trend of increasing military presence of NATO near our western border and using Ukraine as 'a third party' to counter Russia indicates that the EU and NATO countries have taken different positions."
