The Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia Meets with China's Ambassador to Mongolia

MTI Ulaanbaatar, May 6 — According to a press release from the State Great Hural's news office, on the 6th of this month, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, S. Bimbaagin, met with Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Shen Minjuan. The two sides discussed and exchanged views on further enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries and deepening parliamentary-level collaboration.

Chairman S. Bimbaagin emphasized that developing friendly, neighborly, and mutually beneficial cooperation with China is a top priority in Mongolia's foreign policy. He pointed out that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has seen progress across all fields, with frequent high-level visits, increasingly comprehensive dialogue and consultation mechanisms, growing political mutual trust, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation—expressing satisfaction with these developments. During the meeting, both parties agreed that they should firmly implement policies of mutually beneficial cooperation, smoothly advance ongoing projects, and achieve tangible results.

The two sides also exchanged views on further improving the operational efficiency of Mongolian-Chinese border crossings, adopting more flexible scheduling arrangements, and transforming seasonal border crossings into year-round open ones. In this regard, Chairman S. Bimbaagin stated that such measures would help increase cross-border traffic for residents in remote provinces and counties through local border points, prevent them from being affected by rising prices of goods, and thus play a significant role in regional development.
