Russia: The ball is in the U.S.'s court. Russia willing to build a new type of relationship with the United States

Vice Premier Alexander Novak of Russia stated that Russia has always been eager to improve relations with the United States and is ready to restart dialogue. He believes the U.S. should take the first step toward normalizing relations.

Novak emphasized: "Russia has never distanced itself from the United States. We are willing and look forward to establishing a brand-new bilateral relationship."

Russian presidential spokesperson Peskov said that once the U.S. is ready to repair ties between the two countries, Russia will immediately respond in kind. Dancing tango requires two partners—currently, the U.S. shows no such intention. We remain patient and are not in a rush.

Previously, Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council, also expressed her views, stating that Russia has been, is now, and will continue to be part of Europe, and that Russia and Europe should rekindle neighborly relations.
