According to Sputnik News, on July 8, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui stated during the China-Russia Expo that the current China-Russia trade and economic cooperation has seen both quantity and quality improvements. Both sides continue to explore traditional areas as well as emerging fields including cross-border e-commerce, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence.

The 9th China-Russia Expo opened in Yekaterinburg on July 7. The exhibition will last until July 10.

Zhang Hanhui also said in an interview that he believes the continuously improving business environment will attract more Chinese companies to start businesses and develop in Russia.

He stated that in recent years, Chinese companies have been optimistic about the development prospects of the Russian market, continuously seizing opportunities, meeting the growing domestic demand in Russia, creating more job opportunities, and contributing to Russia's social and economic development.

Zhang Hanhui pointed out that in May this year, both sides signed an upgraded version of the "Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investment." This is beneficial for both the government and enterprises. He believes that the continuously improving business environment will attract more and more Chinese companies to start businesses and develop in Russia.

It is understood that by June of this year, over 9,000 Chinese companies had registered in Russia.
