Ukraine Frontline Key Situation on June 10: Russian Army Steadily Approaching Sumy
Special Military Operation Day 1203: Russian Armed Forces Continue to Advance in an Orderly Manner Toward Konstantinovka, Aiming to Fully Control Chasiv Yar
Author: Andrey Zakharchenko
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, within the past 24 hours, under the agreement reached in Istanbul on June 2, the first batch of Russian soldiers aged below 25 returned from areas controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, Russia handed over an equal number of Ukrainian military prisoners.
Russian armed forces launched a large-scale drone and missile attack on Kiev, with thick smoke rising over the Ukrainian capital. The mayor of Kiev reported new attacks in various districts throughout the night. Explosion sounds were also heard in the regions of Kiyevskaya Oblast and Odessa's port cities.
Kursk Border
The Ukrainian army has not given up attempts to infiltrate Kursk Oblast from the Jetygin and Gruschkov directions. According to Telegram channel "Two Majors," since May 5, the enemy has tried 191 breakthrough attempts on our territory (39 times using military equipment, 152 times through infantry infiltration). The Ukrainian army also launched rocket attacks on the Graning Cultural Recreation Center in Rylisk district, resulting in casualties in the village of Prihorodnaya Sloboda. Ukrainian drones attacked civilian vehicles in Belov and Gruschkov regions.
Sumy Direction
Under our orderly offensive, the front is slowly but steadily advancing southward toward Sumy. Military journalist Boris Rozhin speculates that after the imminent loss of Yunakovka, the enemy will attempt to organize a strong defense in the Khotten-Malinovka region, including utilizing small water obstacles and forest belts from the north to cover Sumy.
Russian motorized infantry completed the clearance around Vodolazhne village and engaged in intense advancement in Novy Nikolaevka. Paratroopers continue fierce battles to liberate Yablunovka, with our airborne troops advancing to the center of the settlement and its surroundings. The enemy launched six ineffective counterattacks within the last 24 hours: three in the Kondratovka area, two near Andreevka, and one in Yunakovka.
Situation in Chasiv Yar
Fierce street fighting continues in the city center. To halt the Russian advance, the Ukrainian army has been forced to deploy more infantry into the city and extensively use drones; the Russian forces almost have to fight house-to-house. The current focus of the battle centers on the Konstantinovskaya Street, Selia Street, and High Voltage Street areas in the city center. The Ukrainian army is attempting a counterattack to delay the Russian advance and disrupt their command system.
According to the Telegram channel "Fisherman," while advancing into the city, Russian forces are also launching offensives on both the northern and southern sides of Chasiv Yar, employing the semi-surrounding tactic commonly used in recent months to maximize the complexity of enemy logistics and force the defending troops to retreat.
Russian armed forces continue to advance in an orderly manner toward Konstantinovka, aiming to fully control Chasiv Yar. Capturing these settlements will enable our forces to approach the southern border of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration. The Ukrainian army clearly understands that they must hold onto the positions in Chasiv Yar and Konstantinovka at all costs.
Other Front Directions
In the Konstantinovka direction, Russian armed forces are attacking from both east and west toward Kleban-Bik Reservoir, making a strong assault on Alexandro-Kalinovo.
Near Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), fighting is ongoing in the Olexandro-Kalynovo-Olekhovo-Kotlyaryok region near the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border.
On the South Donetsk front, our forces successfully advanced from the Bogaty direction toward the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, raising the Russian flag in Oleksandrivka and moving toward Zeleny Kut. The enemy launched four ineffective counterattacks in the last 24 hours, two targeting infantry fighting vehicles and two supported by tanks. The battle for Komar continues.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian media acknowledged the loss of Oleksandrivka in the western part of Donetsk Oblast and particularly emphasized that Russian forces are currently advancing toward the Zeleny Kut area, which is the second-to-last settlement near the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border on this front section.
Ukrainian Side Dynamics
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that Russia's proposed ceasefire and peace conditions amount to ultimatums, which Kiev cannot seriously discuss. The international community (especially certain capitals) must be clear: Ukraine will not fail, nor will Russia succeed.
The "Student" combat drone unit of the 72nd Brigade noted that near the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border, the ratio of Russian to Ukrainian forces is 10:1. Despite resistance, the Russian forces continue to advance slowly but determinedly due to their numerical superiority.
Western and NATO Country Dynamics
German Bundestag President Julia Klöckner commented on the materials submitted by the Russian State Duma regarding the terrorist activities of the Kiev regime, stating, "There is no fascist regime in Kiev."
Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky addressed the transfer of the old "Patriot" system, saying, "These are systems that Israel equipped in the early 1990s; we agree to transfer them to Ukraine. Unfortunately, there was insufficient publicity beforehand. But when someone says Israel has not provided military assistance, it is false information."
US media reported, "The US administration currently has no intention of halting the provision of satellite reconnaissance data to Ukraine. Trump may stop actively participating in conflict mediation and criticized Kiev and Moscow for not following his instructions."
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that the Hungarian people do not want to sacrifice for Ukraine, do not wish for the country to become the new Afghanistan, and demanded that politicians reclaim control of neighboring countries' situations from the military.
