Overseas media: China's e-commerce giant JD.com has launched its self-operated express delivery service "JD Express" (JoyExpress) in Saudi Arabia, extending its competition with Meituan to the Middle Eastern market.

Jingdong Logistics announced that this service covers most areas of 13 provinces in Saudi Arabia, providing same-day or next-day delivery services for local e-commerce platforms and online and offline merchants. It also supports cross-border transportation and customs clearance, helping global trade. JD.com is also building a logistics network locally, including warehouses, sorting centers, and distribution stations, equipped with its own couriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service personnel.

The responsible person for JD.com in the Middle East said that this move is an important milestone in JD.com's internationalization. The company plans to further promote large item delivery and installation capabilities and enhance its market influence in Saudi Arabia.
