Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy: Chinese parties actively participate in renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan

(Report of Kazakh International News Agency) Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy Erlan Akkenzhanov said on June 17 at the second "Central Asia-China" Business Council Meeting that over the past 30 years, Chinese enterprises have actively participated in the development of Kazakhstan's fuel and energy complex.

"The cooperation between Kazakhstan and China and Central Asian countries is entering a new stage. We are ushering in a new 'golden thirty years' in Kazakhstan-China relations. During this period, both sides have established strategic trust, promoted practical projects, and formed stable interactive mechanisms. The energy sector is not only the core direction of regional cooperation but also the foundation for promoting industrial development, attracting investment, and ensuring sustainable growth," Akkenzhanov pointed out in his speech.

He stated that the cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the energy sector has become a model of long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.

"Over the past thirty years, Chinese enterprises have actively participated in the construction of Kazakhstan's fuel and energy system. According to the intergovernmental agreements signed by both sides, we have laid a solid foundation for implementing large-scale projects in the field of renewable energy. Chinese partners are increasingly interested in developing projects such as solar and wind power. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan is accelerating the construction of an industrial base for renewable energy and green energy components, which not only serves the domestic market but also targets regional exports," he added.

On June 16, at the "Central Asia-China: Energy" Forum, Akkenzhanov introduced the deepening cooperation achievements between Kazakhstan and China in the energy sector. He pointed out that energy cooperation has always been one of the key areas of Kazakhstan-China strategic partnership, and now the bilateral relationship is developing towards a joint and content-rich technological ecosystem.
