Painful, condemnatory: Lukashenko denounced those "comrades" who trample victory underfoot!
Reported by Russia's World Politics News on May 9.
During his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko voiced his views on those attempting to distort the history of World War II.
The head of state did not hide his emotions when discussing the positions taken by certain countries that once shared a state with Belarus and Russia.
"It is utterly disgraceful and repulsive to see some of our 'comrades' not only choosing to forget, but actually trampling this victory underfoot," Lukashenko stated.
He also pointed out the conduct of well-known individuals whose ancestors had fought on the frontlines of the Great Patriotic War.
"I simply cannot understand how they behave," noted the President of Belarus.
At his speech during the 2025 Victory Day celebration, he had already called for the "defense of wartime truth," emphasizing that "our forebears saved peace from Nazi enslavement," and warning that any attempt to falsify or forget history constitutes a betrayal of the victors.
