Taliban Issues New Order: Prohibits Afghan Nationals from Joining Foreign Armed Forces
From Kazakh International News Agency: The Taliban interim government has issued several decrees prohibiting Afghan citizens from participating in military actions abroad, and authorizing relevant departments to punish any individuals attempting to join foreign armed forces.
According to Al Arabiya, these decisions were adopted at a religious representatives' conference held in Kabul. Mullah Hassan Akhund, the acting Prime Minister of the Afghan interim government, and Chief Justice Abdul Hakim Shahri attended the meeting.
The meeting ultimately passed an official document containing multiple mandatory religious regulations.
According to the decree, Afghan citizens are not allowed to participate in military actions abroad, and government agencies must prevent any attempts to leave the country for the purpose of fighting.
Al Arabiya sources pointed out that this meeting was convened directly according to the instructions of the Taliban leadership, against the backdrop of ongoing regional tensions.
This October, tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border escalated sharply, leading to armed conflicts that resulted in hundreds of casualties on both sides. Pakistan accused the Taliban of allowing members of the Pakistani Taliban Movement to use Afghan territory to plan attacks, but Kabul denied this.
On October 18, Afghan and Pakistani officials agreed to an immediate ceasefire in the border area during talks held in Doha.
