PRP Questions Whether the Insecurity in Thailand is the Prime Minister's Responsibility!
On July 9, Prawit's spokesperson, Phanitda Sombunchai, posted on Facebook to clarify about the telecom fraud gangs and the power outage and internet disruption issues. Sombunchai believes that without a decision from the National Security Council, the Ministry of Interior cannot take action on its own. PRP leader Anutin has continuously called on Prayut to convene a meeting as the chairman of the National Security Council to take action against the telecom fraud gangs. Therefore, the delay is not the responsibility of the Ministry of Interior, but rather of the National Security Council and Prime Minister Prayut.
Sombunchai also accused Prayut of shirking responsibility for security. Previously, Prayut stated that the reason Chinese tourists are not coming to Thailand is due to safety issues. Sombunchai questioned whether the tourist police, who are primarily responsible for the safety of tourists, are directly supervised by the Prime Minister. The tourist police are specifically responsible for taking care of tourists, while the Ministry of Interior only supports the work of all departments within the province. Does Prime Minister Prayut not acknowledge this division of responsibilities?
