Foreign Media: On August 13, China's Ministry of Commerce announced that starting from August 14, anti-dumping duties on single-mode fiber optic cables originally produced in India will continue to be imposed for an additional five years.
This decision is based on the findings of a sunset review investigation initiated one year ago, which determined that terminating the measures could lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and cause harm to the domestic industry. The duty rates remain unchanged, with anti-dumping tariffs ranging from 7.4% to 30.6% depending on the Indian exporters: Sterlite Technologies faces a rate of 7.4%, while Aksh Optifibre and Finolex Cables are both subject to a rate of 30.6%.
China first implemented anti-dumping measures on Indian single-mode fiber optic cables in August 2014, and extended them for five years in 2020.
