Israel Plans to Deport Ukrainian Refugees

According to the Haaretz newspaper, Israel may cancel the right to reside in the country for at least 25,000 Ukrainian refugees. This is related to the expiration of their residence and work permits within Israel.

The report points out that the Israeli government has not yet decided whether to extend the protection program for Ukrainian refugees and issue them with residency permits. As a result, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians may face the risk of being deported in January.

It should be noted that the EU will end its support program for Ukrainian refugees after March 2027. It is expected that only Ukrainians who have jobs will be able to continue living in EU countries at that time.

Germany and Sweden are also developing plans to reduce the number of refugees. For example, Ukrainian people in Germany will be prohibited from bringing their families to join them.

Another report states that threats against Ukrainian citizens in Poland increased by 50% over the past two years, and cases of abuse increased by 70%. Attacks motivated by xenophobia, race, or religion also increased by 66%.
