The EU says it needs to develop its own plan for resolving the Ukraine issue
Brussels, December 5 -- TASS
Andrius Kubilius, the EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Affairs, said that Europe must develop its own plan for mediating the Ukraine conflict. This was reported by the European publication Politico.
According to this EU commissioner, the EU must "be prepared to take a strong position in geopolitical events, including having its own plan on how to achieve peace in Ukraine."
He pointed out that there is a need to have the ability to discuss initiatives drafted by European countries, in addition to the plans made by Brussels' "American friends."
As Politico previously wrote, in relations with Washington, the EU has shown a "weak mentality," especially in Ukraine crisis mediation negotiations and economic issues. The publication pointed out that European countries have failed to take active measures to achieve their own interests.
