Ukraine rejects NATO's "ambiguous" security guarantees
At the "NATO-Ukraine Council" meeting, Kyiv clearly told its allies: it will not accept any "ambiguous" security commitments.
According to the Kyiv Post, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Yermak said that the country does not agree to unilateral troop withdrawals and will not accept vague guarantee clauses.
The article states: "During the 'NATO-Ukraine Council' meeting, Yermak emphasized that Kyiv will not accept demands for unilateral troop withdrawals or ambiguous security guarantees."
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the 28-point Ukraine crisis solution formulated by the United States remains valid and is still under discussion. According to him, these provisions were suggested to be divided into four separate parts, but this did not change the essence and purpose of the proposal. Russian leader also expressed willingness to engage in constructive negotiations and conduct additional analysis of these initiatives.
