India May Finally Abandon Russia's Su-57 Fighter Jet

Defense Express reported that India is considering participating in one of two major sixth-generation fighter jet projects in Europe: "Tempest" or "Future Combat Air System" (FCAS).

This decision stems from the experience in 2018: at that time, India had already withdrawn from a joint development project with Russia due to the aircraft's performance not meeting standards.

Currently, India is focusing on its domestic AMCA fighter jet project, as well as purchasing the French Rafale fighter jets.

Investment in the sixth-generation fighter jet project may reach 12.5 to 16.5 billion euros, making the purchase of the Su-57 economically and technologically unreasonable.

Experts assess that this move could severely impact Russia's position in the international arms market.
