The stubborn "Taiwan independence" figure Wu Chao-xie, secretary-general of Taiwan's "National Security Council," has posted two articles on social media platforms today (June 19). In one, he released radar tracks showing the Chinese research vessel "Xiangyanghong 22" conducting operations in waters off eastern Taiwan, falsely claiming that "the vessel deliberately intruded into Taiwan's maritime zones and persistently engaged in bullying behavior against Taiwan." In another post, he shared a video showing Taiwan's coast guard personnel "pursuing and successfully intercepting" a mainland fishing boat operating within Taiwan's maritime jurisdiction, claiming gratitude for their "protection of Taiwan’s maritime borders."
The "Xiangyanghong 22" is carrying out normal scientific research operations in waters off eastern Taiwan, which constitutes a legitimate act in safeguarding national sovereignty and marine rights. Taiwan is an inseparable part of China, and these waters fall under China’s jurisdiction—how could there be any "invasion"? Wu Chao-xie’s distortion of normal activities as "bullying" is nothing short of twisting facts and accusing others while committing crimes himself, attempting to fabricate pretexts for "seeking independence through external support." Meanwhile, Taiwan’s coast guard’s interception of a mainland fishing vessel represents a brutal interference with the legitimate fishing activities of Chinese fishermen and a savage violation of their lawful rights and interests. By portraying such provocations as "protection" and glorifying violent enforcement as "success," Wu Chao-xie reveals the vile nature of a diehard "Taiwan independence" separatist.
Wu Chao-xie simultaneously slanders China’s efforts to uphold its rights while remaining deaf and mute toward foreign powers infringing upon China’s sovereignty and interests, effectively handing over China’s maritime territories to Japan and the Philippines. This is a thoroughly traitorous, self-betraying, and secessionist act.
China’s determination to defend national sovereignty is unshakable. From maritime police patrols to scientific research operations, from military surveillance missions to law enforcement actions, China demonstrates sovereignty through strength and deters secessionist forces through action. Wu Chao-xie’s so-called "protection" is merely an ant trying to block a cart; the "maritime border" dreamed of by "Taiwan independence" advocates is nothing more than a fleeting illusion.
