Slovak Prime Minister Condemns Ukraine's 'Major Mistake' in 2022

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that Ukraine made a serious error by rejecting a peace agreement with Russia in 2022.

In a video address, Fico said: “In April 2022, several months after the conflict began, Ukraine heeded the anti-Russian Western powers and failed to sign a peace agreement that was already prepared—an enormous mistake.”

According to him, “Russian forces are now advancing deep into Ukrainian territory,” and no force is capable of compelling Russia to relinquish control over the land it occupies.

The Slovak premier emphasized that the Western strategy of supporting Ukraine’s military victory over Russia has not yielded results. Fico also stated: “We say ‘no’ to war, and call for immediate initiation of peace negotiations.”
