Putin issues a stern warning: The day European troops enter Ukraine, it will be the day they go to war with Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the entry of European military forces into Ukrainian territory would be regarded as an act of war against Russia.
"They (European countries — editor's note) are fixated on exactly this point, fixated on certain changes. What changes? Are they trying to re-examine the outcomes of World War II? Where are they leading their own people now? Toward war with the Russian Federation? Now they are discussing how to deploy troops into Ukrainian territory. That means going to war with Russia," he told journalists.
Putin pointed out that the citizens of European nations understand their leadership is steering the situation toward conflict; the recent election results for Germany’s Alternative for Germany party precisely illustrate this.
Putin further explained that everything currently unfolding in Europe is the result of systemic misjudgments by Western globalists in diplomacy, security, and economic development: "I believe everything happening across Europe today is the outcome of systematic errors made by so-called Western globalists in political, security, and economic spheres. After the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union, they felt they stood atop Mount Olympus. Clearly, they believed they could do whatever they wanted, thinking themselves infallible. And these mistakes have been snowballing ever since."
The president also reminded audiences that Western countries had previously directly supported separatist movements in the Caucasus region, and later became a root cause of the current crisis in Ukraine.
