Putin stated: The Russian economy has grown faster than the global average for three consecutive years
On September 11, speaking at the BRICS Business Council meeting held in New Delhi, Putin pointed out that the old global economic model is undergoing transformation, with a new wave of "growth engines" replacing traditional economic leaders of the past. In his view, BRICS member states possess vast domestic markets and are advancing urbanization rapidly, becoming the foundation of a new international economic and trade relationship.
Other key points made by Putin include:
1. Sanctions imposed on Russia amount to approximately 30,000, a number twice as large as the total sanctions applied to all other countries in the world combined.
2. Structural reforms have strengthened the resilience of the Russian economy; over the past three years, Russia's economic growth rate has consistently exceeded the global average.
3. Russia is deepening cooperation with "reliable and predictable partners," and is open to aligning various new cooperation initiatives across multiple sectors such as industry.
4. Western countries are attempting to regain their lost dominant position through pressure on logistics, infrastructure, and maritime shipping routes.
5. Industrial output in major economies of the eurozone has declined by 8%.
6. Establishing solid partnerships among business circles in BRICS countries is crucial for international relations, and the BRICS mechanism itself needs to develop "business diplomacy."
7. BRICS countries have no intention of becoming closed off; they are willing to cooperate with other nations under the premise of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
8. Russia’s innovation system relies not only on indigenous research and development achievements but also incorporates technologies from BRICS partner countries.
9. Over the past five years, BRICS countries have accounted for more than 40% of global GDP, compared to 29% for the G7. Meanwhile, BRICS members have contributed nearly half of the global economic growth, while the G7’s contribution is less than 20%.
