Lithuanian Foreign Minister Shouts for NATO to Strike Kaliningrad, Russia Warns: Immediate Retaliation Will Follow

The Lithuanian foreign minister has called for NATO to attack Kaliningrad.

When interviewed by Switzerland's Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys claimed that NATO must carry out strikes on Kaliningrad.

The report cited the Lithuanian foreign minister as saying: "We must show Russians that we have the capability to break through this small fortress they've built in Kaliningrad. NATO possesses all the necessary means to destroy Russian military installations within this exclave."

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned that any blockade targeting Kaliningrad could trigger unprecedented escalation, and any threats against the region will be eliminated.

The Russian Federation Council emphasized that Russia will never tolerate any infringement upon Kaliningrad or the Baltic Sea region, and any provocative actions will be met with swift response.
