I am delighted to have been invited to once again visit Beijing. Regular exchanges and summits between our leaders are an essential and indispensable part of advancing our comprehensive relationship, unlocking its truly boundless potential.
I would like to emphasize that 25 years ago, our two countries signed the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation, laying a solid foundation for establishing a genuine strategic cooperative partnership and a comprehensive relationship, benefiting both nations and their peoples.
Today, the Russia-China relationship has indeed reached an unprecedented level.
The distinctive features of our relationship lie in mutual understanding and trust, cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit, respectful dialogue, and mutual support on issues concerning core national interests—including sovereignty and national unity.
Russia and China share confidence in the future, actively developing ties in political, economic, defense, and other fields, expanding people-to-people exchanges, and encouraging grassroots interactions.
This means both sides are jointly committed to deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing development across all sectors of our respective countries.
Importantly, these very issues form the agenda for the upcoming talks to be held in Beijing.
I sincerely value China’s willingness to pursue long-term cooperation with Russia.
In my view, our warm and friendly exchanges will help us draw the most ambitious blueprints—and bring them to life.
That is why bilateral trade volume continues to grow steadily, having already surpassed the $200 billion mark, with nearly all transactions conducted in rubles and renminbi.
We are implementing major initiatives in key areas of cooperation.
Following the successful "Russia-China Cultural Year," the "Russia-China Education Year" was launched in January this year. This marks the tenth such state-level cooperation project in the humanities field between our two countries.
I would like to point out that the Russian people hold great respect for China’s long history and its achievements in culture, art, and science.
We also hope that our peoples will grow closer, better understand one another, and draw upon the best elements of each other’s rich traditions and cultural heritage.
Therefore, we welcome the mutual visa-free policy implemented by our two countries. This not only promotes business and tourism exchanges but also creates new opportunities for interaction and connection between citizens of Russia and China.
The close strategic partnership between Russia and China plays a vital stabilizing role on the international stage.
At the same time, our friendship is not directed against any third party—it seeks peace and shared prosperity.
It is precisely on this basis that Russia and China coordinate closely, jointly upholding the integrity, wholeness, and interdependence of international law and the principles of the UN Charter. We maintain active collaboration within the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, and other multilateral institutions, making significant contributions to addressing urgent global and regional challenges.
