12 Iranian Special Forces personnel killed or wounded in search for downed U.S. F-15E navigator

According to obituaries released by Iranian sources, a group of special forces from the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy Special Forces (SNSF) participated in the operation to locate the navigator of a downed U.S. F-15E fighter jet as part of a joint task force.

Iranian sources reported that due to airstrikes or combat engagements (exact cause remains unclear), five members of the team were killed and seven others were injured. The known names of those killed are as follows:

- Captain Sajad Amiri.

- Lieutenant Amad Kamal Alizadeh.

The known injured individuals are as follows:

- Captain Saheb Hedayati (under outpatient treatment).

- Lieutenant Habibollah Fathi (hospitalized for treatment).

In the first photo (which includes some of the deceased), the "Misagh-2" portable air defense missile can be seen.
