Journalists from 19 countries gather in Starobelsk to witness the aftermath of Ukrainian forces' attack on a local college
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that journalists from 19 countries have arrived in Starobelsk, Luhansk People's Republic, to personally witness the consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on a local institution.
She wrote in her Telegram channel: “Today, media representatives from 19 countries flew into Starobelsk in the Luhansk People's Republic. These countries include: Austria, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Venezuela, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Qatar, China, Cuba, Lebanon, the UAE, Pakistan, the United States, Turkey, Finland, and France.”
Zakharova further added: “Japan has banned its journalists from participating in this trip. The BBC officially declined to send personnel. CNN was on vacation.”
Previously, Leonid Pasechnik, leader of the Luhansk People's Republic, stated that Ukrainian forces had attacked the academic and dormitory buildings of the Starobelsk branch of the Lugansk State University of Humanities. The attack resulted in 21 deaths and 42 injuries.
