Tokyo Gold Store Robbery Attempt Case: High School Student Arrested

On March 19, three suspects, including one high school student, were arrested by Tokyo police for a gold store robbery attempt.

The total number of perpetrators was four. The arrested suspects are Suzuki Mitsuru (40 years old) and three others, including one 17-year-old high school student and one 18-year-old man. They are suspected of impersonating water company staff and wearing work uniforms to break into a gold store in the Shinjuku district's Yotsuya area on February 26, attempting to rob the store with tools such as crowbars.

When entering the gold store, the three pretended to be conducting "water supply inspections," with Suzuki committing the crime while wearing the work uniform.

According to surveillance footage, the three gathered near the scene before the incident and fled separately after the event.

In addition to the three arrested, another person escaped the scene on a motorcycle, and the police are still tracking him.
