Two home-invasion robberies occurred in Tokyo, Japan early this morning

According to Japan's Asahi Television: Around 2:30 a.m. on March 10, two men broke into a store in Katsushika Ward and committed a robbery.

The police said that the building where the incident occurred has a shop on the first floor and a residence on the second floor. The two men broke into the first floor, threatened the male owner "give me money", and stole about 1 million yen (about 44,000 RMB) in cash before fleeing. No one was injured.

An hour and a half before the robbery in Katsushika Ward, there was an attempted robbery in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Ward, where someone broke into a store but failed to steal anything and quickly escaped.

The police are investigating the connection between the two incidents.
