Hundreds of cars are lined up at the border between Kazakhstan and Russia.

According to Russian media outlet SHOT, vehicles are stranded at the border checkpoint between Aktobe and Orenburg, with the congestion located on the Kazakh side. Witnesses reported that one must pay approximately 10,000 rubles to cut in line; otherwise, drivers must wait two to three days.

Drivers said that freight trucks from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are taking the longest to clear customs due to tightened inspections and crackdowns on gray-market goods. Vehicles registered in Kazakhstan or Russia, however, can use dedicated lanes for faster passage.
