Defense News: Even if the United States supplies Ukraine with all its new Patriot air defense missiles, it would still be difficult to intercept Russian ballistic missiles.
Analysts say Russia can produce up to 113 ballistic missiles, air-launched ballistic missiles, and hypersonic missiles per month, requiring Ukraine to rely on Patriot systems for interception.
For comparison, Lockheed Martin currently produces only about 52 PAC-3 MSE air defense missiles per month. Even if all of these missiles were supplied to Ukraine, a significant shortfall would remain.
Defense News notes that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has further depleted U.S. missile stocks, worsening the current situation.
